OUR EXPERTISE
CRIMINAL DEFENSE
If you have been charged with a crime, no matter how great or how small, it is important that you meet with an attorney as soon as possible. Your fundamental rights are implicated when criminal charges are brought against you. If those rights are violated, it could have a major impact on the outcome of your case. Jono Streit is devoted to protecting your constitutional rights and will prepare the most effective defense strategy for your case.
CHILD SUPPORT
As a parent, supporting your child is one of your greatest financial responsibilities. Our office is experienced in helping both the paying parents and the custodial parents to ensure the needs of their child are met through accurately calculated child support payments.
APPEALS
Judges are only human and sometimes they make errors too. This is why we have an appeal system in place to review judicial decisions. If you believe the outcome of your case was wrong, you have a very limited amount of time to decide how you want to move forward. Our office is experienced in navigating the highly technical appeal process. Let our office review your case and discuss your appeal options with you.
FAMILY LAW
Whether you are getting divorced, looking to establish your parental rights, or attempting to modify a custody or visitation order, it is important to understand your rights and what to expect in a legal proceeding. Find out how our office can help you achieve your goals.
CIVIL LITIGATION
ADOPTION / GUARDIANSHIP
Our office can take you through the entire process of filing or defending a civil lawsuit. This includes advising you on whether your case is best suited for court or whether you can be more efficiently served outside the courtroom. If you are considering filing a lawsuit, or if you have been served, you should consult with a litigation attorney. Going through a lawsuit can be a complicated process, let us protect your best interest through that process.
When someone is no longer able to care for themselves, or when a child's parents are unable to continue to care for their child, you may be called on to step in as a caregiver. In some instances, it may be best for the child to terminate the parental relationship permanently and step in as the legal parent. In any instance, it is important to understand your legal options when decided which avenue is best for you and your family.
NOT JUST AN ATTORNEY
Streit Law Firm was created with a mission of making legal representation attainable for everyone by delivering cost-effective, quality legal services. Unlike other firms, we streamline our services and focus on providing effective advocacy instead of focusing on bloated billing.
The choice of a lawyer is an important decision because not all lawyers are created equally. You don’t want to show up at court with an attorney that’s as useful as a screen door on a submarine. If that’s what you’re looking for, we can give you a referral. We know some. But if you would rather have an attorney on your side that not only knows the law but can also effectively advocate on your behalf in a courtroom, you are in the right place.
You should be able to deduce our professional qualifications by reviewing our website. But you still need to decide whether we are a good fit for you. We encourage you to schedule a consultation and size us up before hiring an attorney. Just know that we are good at this job, and we aren’t afraid to go to trial.
OUR AWESOME TEAM
JONO STREIT
ATTORNEY
Jono has been practicing law since 2004. He is an experienced litigator with a remarkable breadth and depth of knowledge regarding the law—not to mention his intimidating lexicon of twenty-five cent words. His clients love him because he is strategic, assertive, and effective at trial. Plus, it is vindicating to watch him kick your opponent around the courtroom.
Although his reputation in court precedes him, a lesser-known fact about Jono is that he moonlights as a home chef and bartender at Château de la Streit. A foodie at heart, Jono knows the best places to eat (or drink) in Central Arkansas and, although he does not claim the title, he is a food and cocktail snob if there ever was one.
KATHY LOWREY

Kathy is also a co-author of the 365 Caregiving Tips: Practical Tips from Everyday Caregivers book series and wrote an award-winning blog about living with, caring for and loving her husband who was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia.
